Eye Candy

Bat your lashes without breaking the bank. If there is one item I find myself constantly replenishing in my makeup collection it is mascara. I can’t go out without it; it is an essential for me.  When it comes to mascara I tend to opt for drugstore brands rather than high-end brands.  The prices are a steal of a deal in drugstores.   Many drugstores have sales on cosmetics so I don't feel like I’m putting a dent in my wallet.   So many cosmetic brands are stepping up their game with mascara and they are constantly coming out with different formulas and different type of brushes. L’Oreal Paris outdid themselves once again. I am a bit late getting on the bandwagon on this one; I heard so many rave reviews about this one particular mascara so I thought I would give it a try. I recently purchased L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara and I was blown away by the results. The craftsmanship of the brush in the tube is an asymmetrical lash line shape, and it lifts outer corner of lashes that gives a stretched out affect like wings of a butterfly. It instantly gives volume to lashes at the roots. This mascara does not clump and leaves a natural look on the lashes. The formula is workable and you can layer it if you have the desire to do so.  This little magic wand comes in three different shades, black brown, black, and blackest black. My preference is blackest black and I have the waterproof formula. The packaging is very flashy and shiny like a disco ball and is sure to stand out in any makeup bag.  I purchased mine  for $10.99 on Saturday, the following day I had a lunch date and I applied this tube of goodness on my lashes before heading out the door. It did wonders to complete my look.

Don't get me wrong I also like high-end cosmetics, but I like a good bang for my buck and L’Oreal Paris gets a 10 out of 10 in my books.  This is definitely going to be a regular in my makeup regimen and I look forward to seeing what other little tubes of magic potions L’Oreal comes out with.
